Accessibility

The Medeiros e Almeida Museum, originally conceived as a private residence, presents certain architectural challenges that limit accessibility for individuals with mobility impairments. Notably, a series of staircases within the premises restricts wheelchair-bound visitors to the ground floor exclusively. Nevertheless, the Museum is diligently striving to address these impediments.

To facilitate the experience for our visitors, we offer a selection of folding portable stools and two wheelchairs, available for loan at the Museum’s entrance. Furthermore, visitors facing mobility challenges who wish to access the upper floors may request assistance from our courteous Museum staff.

For the convenience of all visitors, an accessible restroom facility is situated in the entrance area of the Museum.

We remain committed to enhancing accessibility and ensuring that all visitors can enjoy our Museum!
